Somatic-Therapy
The Body Carries Memory
Experiences that were overwhelming may remain stored as sensations, tension patterns, emotional charge, or chronic activation in the nervous system.
In somatic work, we move beyond talking alone. We gently track sensations, impulses, breath, posture, and internal shifts. The goal is not to re-live trauma, but to help the nervous system complete what was interrupted.
The Goal
"From survival to safety—helping the nervous system complete its natural cycle of resolution."
By shifting from intellectual understanding to embodied experience, we allow for genuine biological shifts in how you hold and respond to life.
Layered Healing Involves
Cultivating awareness and capacity at a nervous system level.
Interoceptive Awareness
Gently increasing your awareness of internal bodily states, learning to listen to the messages your sensations are sending.
Capacity Building
Slowly building your capacity to stay present and grounded with sensations without becoming overwhelmed.
Releasing Survival Energy
Gently and gradually releasing stored survival energy (fight, flight, or freeze) held in the nervous system.
Embodied Regulation
Strengthening self-regulation so that it becomes an embodied experience rather than just an intellectual understanding.
Embodied Safety
Over time, the body shifts from survival to safety. Emotional waves become more tolerable. Regulation becomes embodied, allowing for a deeper sense of presence.
